Privacy Policy — DrawingDesk for Gmail

DrawingDesk ("the extension") helps you track shop drawing submittals in Gmail. This policy explains what data it handles and where that data goes.

What the extension stores

• Tracking data you create: for each email thread you flag, the thread identifiers, subject line, the status you set, reviewer type (e.g. AOR/SEOR), follow-up and reminder dates, and any wording you type in.
• Settings: your preferences, and any addresses you enter in the follow-up settings.

The extension does not read, store or transmit the body of your emails, your contacts, or attachments. It reads the subject and thread identifiers of threads you choose to track, and page structure needed to show its buttons and badges.

Where it is stored

• On your computer, in Chrome's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) in your Chrome profile.
• In your own Google Drive, if you click "Connect Google Drive": one file (shop-drawings-backup.json) in the Drive application data folder, a hidden folder only this extension can access. The extension requests only drive.appdata and drive.file; it cannot see or change any file in your Drive that it did not create. You can disconnect at any time from the settings page, and you can delete the hidden data from Google Drive (Settings → Manage apps → DrawingDesk → Delete hidden app data).
• In your own Google Sheet, only if you click "Create my dashboard sheet" (the extension creates one spreadsheet in your Drive using the drive.file permission, which lets it access only files it created) or set up the optional Apps Script team sheet. Either way the data goes to a spreadsheet you own and control.

We (the developer) run no servers that receive your data, and we cannot see it.

Feedback

If you click "Send feedback", a Google Form (or your email app) opens with the extension version and browser name filled in. Anything you type there, including an optional email address for a reply, is sent to us through Google Forms or email and used only to answer you and improve the extension.

Third parties

• Google provides Gmail, Drive, Sheets, sign-in (via Chrome's identity API), Forms and Apps Script. Your use of those is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• InboxSDK (Streak, inboxsdk.com): the extension uses the InboxSDK library to integrate with Gmail. InboxSDK sends technical usage and error information (for example, which extension is running, Gmail interface version, and error logs) to api.inboxsdk.com. What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not use or transfer your data for advertising, creditworthiness, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
• We do not allow humans to read your data.
• Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security

Data in transit to Google uses HTTPS. Access to Drive and Sheets uses an OAuth token held only in Chrome's own token cache (the extension never saves it); disconnecting revokes it.

Your choices

Untrack threads or use "Clear tracked threads" in settings; disconnect Google Drive; uninstall the extension to remove local data.

Children

The extension is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
