Terms of Service: DrawingDesk for Gmail

Template notice: this is a draft template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified attorney and fill in every highlighted placeholder before publishing.

Effective date: October 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DrawingDesk for Gmail ("DrawingDesk", "the extension"), a Chrome extension provided by DrawingDesk ("we", "us"). The extension and its website at https://drawingdesk-lilac.vercel.app together are "the Service".

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By installing or using DrawingDesk you agree to these Terms. If you use it on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for that company. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

2. Free early access (beta)

DrawingDesk is currently offered free of charge as an early-access, beta product. It is still in active development: features may change, be added or be removed, and it may contain bugs. We may introduce paid plans or features in the future. If we do, we will give you reasonable notice in advance, and you can choose whether to continue. Features that you used for free will not start charging you without your consent.

3. License

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use DrawingDesk for your own business or personal work, subject to these Terms. We keep all rights, title and interest in the extension, its code, name and logo, except your own data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your data and Google services

Your tracking data stays in your browser and, if you choose, in your own Google Drive and Google Sheets. We do not host it and cannot see it. You own your data and are responsible for it, including keeping backups. DrawingDesk relies on Google services (Gmail, Drive, Sheets and sign-in); your use of them is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their availability or changes. Changes to Gmail may break features temporarily. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data the extension handles.

6. Feedback

If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve DrawingDesk without any obligation to you.

7. Not professional or engineering advice

DrawingDesk is an organizational tool. It does not review, check, approve or certify shop drawings or submittals, and nothing in it is engineering, architectural, legal or other professional advice. Statuses, reminders and dashboards are only as accurate as what you enter. You remain fully responsible for all submittal, approval, scheduling and construction decisions, and for confirming status with the architect of record, engineer of record, contractor or other responsible party.

8. No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, PROJECT DELAYS, MISSED DEADLINES OR BACK CHARGES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version at https://drawingdesk-lilac.vercel.app/terms and update the effective date. For material changes, we will give reasonable notice, for example in the extension or on the website. Continuing to use DrawingDesk after changes take effect means you accept them.

11. Termination

You can stop using DrawingDesk at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice where practical. Your data remains in your browser and Google account; you can delete it at any time. Sections 5 to 9 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
